Solar Powered Street Lighting is designed with outdoor applications in remote and rural areas and can work consistently from dawn to dusk. The Street Lighting is suitable for campus or village street lighting and is provided with battery storage backup which is sufficient to operate the light for 10-11 hours daily. The Street Lighting comprises of a compact fluorescent lamp as a light source, re-chargeable lead acid battery for storage, and PV modules for charging the battery.
