Switching Power Supply Open Frame works on an input power supply ranging from 100V AC to 240V AC and is generally used in addition to machine tools and in security systems. The Open Frame is equipped with forward converters that are used in medium and high power applications and can be recognized by their power transformer and output choke. The Open Frame also has fly backs that are favoured for low power applications because they employ a transformer that doubles as the input choke. Switching Power Supply Open Frame uses a transformer as the energy-storage element and also allows output voltage to be electrically isolated from the input voltage.
