Product Profile of Battery Operated Led Based Flashing Tail Lamp
Battery Operated LED Based Flashing Tail Lamp is used for signalling purpose between driver and guard and used as a last vehicle indicator and warning to train crew of approaching trains. The Flashing Tail Lamp ensures the visibility of the tail lamp should 1.6 kms along longitudinal axis and 100 m at 6 degree angular displacement from longitudinal axis, with either of the two aspects that are amber or red. The Flashing Tail Lamp has the insulation resistance of more than 100-M ohms. Battery Operated LED Based Flashing Tail Lamp has the highest reliability under severe environmental conditions of operations of coaching and freight trains that are dust, humidity, high ambient temperature, shocks and vibrations.
Key Features of Battery Operated Led Based Flashing Tail Lamp
- Each train is equipped with one LED based flashing tail lamp on the last vehicle of the train.
- The weight of the tail lamp is less then 650 gms, excluding batteries and metallic hoop [optional] to fix tail lamp to draw bar hooks.
- One pilot amber LED, 3.0 mm size shall be provided at the top surface to indicate that the tail lamp is in perfect fettle and is working, and shall turn on only when the toggle power switch is put on.
- LED module of LED base tail lamp is hermetically sealed.
- The no. of flashes per minute for Flashing Red Aspect and Flashing Amber Aspect is Min. 55 Max.65.
- Duration of dark period between two successive flashes is Min. 0.67 Secs. Max. 07.75 Secs.
- Operating Voltage Range [volts] for Flashing Red Aspect and Flashing Amber aspect is 6 to 2.5.
- The possible aspect of the flashing tail lamp is either red and amber.
- The external appearance of all modules of the tail lamp is Post Office RED colour.
- Provided with a transparent cover of polycarbonate material having a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm.
