Product Profile of Torsionally Stiff/ Flexible Shaft Coupling
Torsionally Stiff/ Flexible Shaft Coupling is used in Shaft encoders, Tachogenerator,
Potentiometers and variacs, stepper and synchronous motors, damper and fan drives etc. The Shaft Coupling is available in torsionally flexible/ stiff design which produces constant velocity assuring smooth bearing loads. The Shaft Coupling permits slight axial movement and comes with precise concentric integral set screw or collet/ flange type clamping. Torsionally Stiff/ Flexible Shaft Coupling is compact and light in weight in nature and saves space.
Applications of Torsionally Stiff/ Flexible Shaft Coupling:
- Potentiometers and variacs
- Stepper and synchronous motors
- All rotary precision position transmitters
Key Features of Torsionally Stiff/ Flexible Shaft Coupling
- Monolith construction backlash free - precision information transmission in both directions of motion without loss. This is possible due to the monolith construction of the body
- Torsionally flexible/ stiff - producing constant velocity assuring smooth bearing loads
- Takes misalignment - lateral (typically 0.2mm) and angular (Typically 5 degrees)
- Permits slight axial movement
- Precise concentric integral set screw or collet/ flange type clamping
- Compact - space saving and light weight with low inertia
- Suitable as diameter converter
