Cylinder Liner and Sleeves is a cylindrical part to be fitted into an engine block to form a cylinder and forms a sliding surface for the piston rings while retaining the lubricant within. The Liner and Sleeves have various features such as good anti-galling properties, less wear on the cylinder liner itself, less wear on the partner piston ring and less consumption of lubricant. The Liner and Sleeves are offered in various types such as dry, wet and air cooled blocks and receives combustion heat through the piston and piston rings and transmits the heat to the coolant. The Liner and Sleeves has the feature that the direct sliding motion of aluminium alloys has drawbacks in deformation during operation and wear-resistance. The Cylinder Liner and Sleeves are used in diesel, petrol and marine compressor engines for light and heavy commercial vehicles, cars, tractors and utility vehicles.
