Sev electrical equipments offers spark testers. Sev spark testers are designed to test the insulation of wires/cables so as to maintain the quality of wires and cables at extrusion level. The testers are available in two models, 15 kv and 25 kv. Specifications: input - 240 v 50 hz, 1 phase ac; output - 0-15 kv ac 50 hz [15 kv model] or 0-25 kv ac 50 hz [25kv model]; hv transformer - oil cooled type housed in a fibreglass tank; electrode - ball chain type for 100% contact; sensitivity - as per clause a-2 [appendix a] of is 18010 [part 44] 1984; interlock - ht chamber door interlock; fault indication - by lamp, audible alarm; fault counting - by six digit electromagnetic counter; and enclosure - control unit - 19" rack system, ht chamber - in ms casing provided with ms stand. The design of sev spark tester meets the requirement as laid down in is 10810 [part 44] 1984.
