Product Profile of Multi Grade Sand Filter

Multi Grade Sand Filter uses coarse and fine media mixed together in a fixed proportion. Owing to the specific arrangement in the filter, filter bed is produced with adequate dimensions that retain large and small suspended particles. • Armed with one vertical cylindrical Mild steel / FRP pressure vessels with dished ends.

• Mild Steel pressure painted internally with an anti-corrosive bitumastic paint & externally with a protective coat of red oxide prime.

• A set of internal water distribution & collection system.

• An initial charge of filter sand & under-bed material.

• A set of frontal pipe work & valves.

• Two pressure gauges to monitor head loss across the filter.

• An orifice board [optional] for indicating wash water flow to be fitted in drain sump.

• Maximum / minimum operating pressure: 3.5kg/cm2g & 2.0 kg/cm2g respectively.

• Multi-grade sand filters length: 600 to 3000 mn diameters.
