Retro Reflective Photo Sensor can recognize the presence of target independent of colour and surface properties. In Retro Reflective Sensor, emitter and receiver are placed in the same housing. In case of Retro Reflective Photo Sensor, the emitter E sends out a beam of infrared light which gets reflected by triple prism reflector directly to the receiver R. When any object interrupt the light beam, the output of sensor is changed.
