In the event of damage, these slat hooks designed to enable easy removal of the slats without dismantling the shade. They also ensure that if the slats are displaced by some external force [e.G. Wind] they will immediately return the slats to the correct position when the force is removed. If the shade is traversed open with the slats partially closed, the former positions when the shade is drawn closed.
