Industrial Grade Friction Sheet is a rigid moulded non metallic friction material with a random fibre asbestos base. The Sheet has good mechanical strength with a medium co-efficient of friction and a low rate of wear. The Sheet is suitable for either dry or under oil-immersed conditions. The Sheet finds application in industrial clutches, marine gear box clutches, tractor steering, clutches and industrial brakes. The Sheet has tensile strength from 4000 PSI to 281 kg/ sq cm, specific gravity of 1.8 gm/ cc, working pressure from 26000 PSI to 1828 kg/ sq cm, operating temperature of 350 ° c. The Sheet is available in various sizes such as 38, 45, 51, 57 mm. The Industrial Grade Friction Sheet is available in flat sheet form and gear tooth can be cut with normal gear cutting facilities.
