In Semi-Automatic DOL Starter, the `Start` button is pressed till the motor picks up to 80-85% speed in Star connection & by releasing the `Start` button the switching from star to delta takes place. In the Fully Automatic DOL Starter, switching from Star to Delta is performed automatically in 10-15 sec by a precise thermal timer.
