Fail Safe Brake for Brake Motor is combination of three-phase squirrel cage induction motor with electro-magnetic disc brake. This Fail Safe Brake is directly acting and requires no lever or links. Fail Safe Brake for Brake Motor is manufactured by G.A. Industries G.A. Industries also manufactures various types of electromagnetic disc brakes. The Fail Safe Brake for Brake Motor is mounted at non-driving end of motor. This Fail Safe Brake has liner plate which is the only wearing part and is easily replaceable. When power is switched off rotating mass of the motor will stop instantaneously due to the presence of fail safe brake.
