G.A. Industries manufactures Fail Safe AC Disk Brake. G.A. Industries also manufactures various types of electromagnetic disc brakes. This Disk Brake has liner plates [brake disc] with square hole at the centre. The Fail Safe AC Disk Brake has a piece of square hub supplied with the brake. This Disk Brake works on 230/ 415 Volt AC. When current is supplied on the Disc brake, one disc is attracted by electromagnet against pressure and the liner plate is released. This Disc brake can also be made with an arrangement where the brake is released manually.
