In Heavy Duty Roll Crushers, the two parallel roller shells are rotated in opposite direction and material is nipped for crushing.

Standard Specifications of Heavy Duty Roll Crushers are:

• Frame [Body]: Box type frame is made out of M.S. Plates, reinforced by steel ribs and base feet are of M.S. Squares riveted to main frame. The top and side plates are bolted to main frame.

• Rollers: In the two rollers, one is stationary and second one is adjustable/ floating. The roller shells are to be kept parallel. Each roller runs in two nos. Bush Bearings. For safety of rollers, adjustable roll. Is spring loaded if any uncrushable material comes/passes through machine without doing any damage.

• Roller Shell: Roller shell mounted on shaft by means of couplings.

• Coupling, Shaft & Bearings: Coupling is fabricated out of plates and pipe, machined all over and shaft. The shaft runs in split type C.I./G.M. Bush bearings housed in bracket. The brackets are made out of M.S. Plates, an Oil Ring is provided for Lubrication of bearings.

• Spur Gears: Spur Gear is mounted on shaft of each roller. This gear is driven by pinion

• Drive: Comprises of a motor two counter shafts with heavy fly wheels drive the roller shell independently through spur Gear.
