A. R. Engineering Works offers Absorption Refrigeration Test Rig. A. R. Engineering Works manufactures condensing unit, laboratory condensing unit, experimental condensing unit, motorized gyroscope, absorption refrigeration chiller, air conditioning [1 ton], air water heat pump, drop and film condensation apparatus etc. The Absorption Refrigeration Test Rig uses ammonia as refrigerant. The ammonia as refrigerant is toxic but since the system has no valves or moving parts there is very little chance of leak and also the total amount refrigerant charge is small. Liquid ammonia evaporates in the presence of air / other gases. The low side of the system use hydrogen as it is the lightest gas, non corrosive and insoluble in water. Water is used as the solvent because of its ability to absorb ammonia readily.
