The biocide for preservation of acrylic emulsion paints, also known as `biolx`, kills bacteria and fungi, including yeasts and molds and prevents their growth and is used in the preservation of various industrial products. Without this preservative, the micro organisms in a water based products will use certain chemicals as food [e.G. Polymers, emulsifier] by causing foul odors, discoloration, viscosity change and even breaking of the emulsion.
