Sofa cum Bed is made to stand on mild steel pipe which is then hand welded to give a wooden look. Sofa cum Bed is manufactured by Phoenix Impex Corporation. The Company also manufactures various types of crafted steel furniture such as swings, dining set, drawing room sets, beds, temples, sofa cum beds, etc. The texture given to mild steel pipe on which the Sofa cum Bed stands is done by taking ordinary wire to 500 Degree C, melting it and then laying it on the pipe giving it a lifelong metallic texture. Once the texture is given on the pipe then it is three-layer painted for. The first layer of the colour is black automotive paint which is the same used on cars, the next coat is polyurethane which is mixed with gold powder to give the two tone look and the third coat is of clear PV lacquer for long lasting colour.
