Key Features of Water Meter
- The meter should be so installed that water always flow in a horizontal straight line. It is recommended that there should be a straight pipe length before and after the meter equivalent to ten times its nominal size.
- External strainer must be installed on inlet side of the water meter.
- The water meter should be handled with great care so as to avoid any jerk or fall which can damage it & can affect its performance
- The meter should not be buried underground.
- Non-Return [Check] Valve on outlet side of the water meter is preferable.
