Key Features of Compact Band Filter
- This filter is more compact than a comparable capacity of an ordinary paper band filter and occupies less floor area.
- This unit can retain taller column of coolant / oil that is to be filtered, which can apply more gravitational pressure to obtain finer filtration levels & better use of paper.
- This filter is extensively used on grinding / honing machines & also for filtering cast iron / aluminium chips from coolant on all types of machines, where coolant filtration is critical.
- Filtration levels of 5 to 50 microns are possible.
- There is no cleaning of filter media needed except change of filter paper roll after a long roll of it ends.
- The indexing [linear movement] of the used paper is done automatically & fresh paper is exposed. When the paper roll ends, an optional "paper end" signal can be provided to fix a new roll.
- Different sizes to suit various chip & coolant flow capacities are manufactured. Special compact band filters are also made.
