The FRP Gratings are fabricated by using Pultrusion FRP I-Sections of 30/8 mm & 25/8 mm as a load bearing section and Pultrusion FRP Rod 8/10 mm diameter as load distributing/transferring member. Both I-Sections and rods are manufactured by using continuous fiber and various types of polyester resin. The choice of resin viz. Isopthalic, Bisphenol or Vinyl Ester depends on the chemical and duty conditions.
FRP Grating is suitable to be widely used in such fields as petro-chemical, OECL engg., and shipplings`, water and base water treatment, paper making, wine making, pharmacy, etc. It is also used as working tables, stair tread, ditch cover, bridge side-walk, filter board, filling support, etc. It is an ideal loading element on corrosion circumstances.
