Insecticide for Tea Gardens or Magister ® is an acaricide [miticide] based on an active ingredient Fenazaquin. It is highly effective on a large number of species of mites, especially those infesting tea and apple. The Insecticide for Tea Gardens, a potent electron transport inhibitor, acts on Complex 1 of Mitochondrial Respiratory Chain. The electron transport chain is a series of cytochromes involved in the production of energy [ATP-Adenosine Tri Phosphate] from the oxidation of carbohydrate, lipid and protein molecules.
