General Cable offers Telecommunications Air Core Cable with Color-Coded Insulation. All the products of General Cable are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2000. The Telecommunications Air Core Cable with Color-Coded Insulation has solid, annealed copper; sizes 19, 22, 24 and 26 AWG conductors. Insulation is made of solid, high density polyethylene, in accordance with telephone industry standards. The insulated conductors are twisted into pairs with varying lay lengths to minimize crosstalk and the 25 pairs and less are assembled together in a single group. More than 25 pairs are arranged in groups, with each group having a color-coded unit binder. Core Wrap includes non-hygroscopic dielectric tape, applied longitudinally with an overlap. Jacket is black in colour and consists of linear low density polyethylene. Telecommunications Air Core Cable with Color-Coded Insulation is intended for aerial installation and the cable is built in compliance to Telcordia [Bellcore] Specification GR-421-CORE. Packaging of Telecommunications Air Core Cable is done in standard lengths and they are shipped on returnable steel reels or on non-returnable wood reels when requested.
