General Cable offers Filled Solid Copper-Bearing Gopher-Resistant Cable. All the products of General Cable are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2000. The Filled Solid Copper-Bearing Gopher-Resistant Cable includes solid, annealed copper; sizes 19, 22 and 24 AWG conductors. Insulation is solid, high density polyethylene, color-coded in accordance with telephone industry standards. The insulated conductors are twisted into pairs with varying lay lengths to minimize crosstalk. Filling Compound is completely filled with ETPR compound, filling the interstices between the pairs and under the core tape. Core Wrap is made of non-hygroscopic dielectric tape, applied longitudinally with an overlap. This Filled Solid Copper-Bearing Gopher-Resistant Cable is used for duct and direct buried installations, where protection against water and moisture entry is required and it may also be installed aerially.
