General Cable offers Air Core Bonded PASP Cable. All the products of General Cable are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2000. This Air Core Bonded PASP Cable has solid, annealed copper; sizes 19, 22, 24 and 26 AWG conductors. Insulation: solid, high density polyethylene, color-coded in accordance with telephone industry standards and the insulated conductors are twisted into pairs with varying lay lengths to minimize crosstalk. The 25 pairs and less are assembled together in a single group and more than 25 pairs are arranged in groups, each group having a color-coded unit binder. Inner Jacket of Air Core Bonded PASP Cable is black in colour and made of linear low density polyethylene over the core wrap. Aluminum Shield is corrugated, 0.008 inch aluminum tape, applied longitudinally. Steel Shield is corrugated, copolymer coated, 0.006 inch steel tape applied longitudinally over the aluminum tape with an overlap. The Outer Jacket is black in colour, with linear low density polyethylene jacket bonded to the coated steel. Air Core Bonded PASP Cable is intended for pressurized direct buried installation in situations in which resistance to lightning and mechanical damage is required.
