General Cable offers Air Core ALPETH Cable. All the products of General Cable are manufactured in accordance to ISO 9001:2000. The Air Core ALPETH Cable includes solid, annealed copper; sizes 19, 22, 24 and 26 AWG conductor. Insulation is made of solid, high density polyethylene and it is color-coded in accordance with telephone industry standards. Air Core ALPETH Cable has insulated conductors that are twisted into pairs with varying lay lengths to minimize crosstalk. The Core Assembly includes 25 pairs and less: pairs are assembled together in a single group. More than 25 pairs are arranged in groups, each group having a color-coded unit binder. 1200 pairs and larger are mirror image color code. Core Wrap is made of non-hygroscopic dielectric tape that is applied longitudinally with an overlap. Jacket is black in colour and consists of linear low density polyethylene. This Air Core ALPETH Cable is intended for aerial installation by attachment to a support strand. It is built in compliance to Telcordia [Bellcore] Specification GR-421-CORE.
