Pg electronics supplies inductive proximity switches, manufactured by ege elektronic, germany. These are designed to suit nominal temperature of 200°c and peak temperature of 250°c, and nominal switching distance of 15 mm at 200°c. The switch has diameter of 35 mm. Switches suitable for nominal temperature of 180°c and size 100 mm diameter have nominal switching distance of 50 mm. No need of any cooling for these switches. They are incorporated in teflon housing. The sensing distance can be adjusted. An amplifier is needed to provide the required output for use on either 24 v dc or 220 v ac. The series idsw 120 have water cooling system, which allows them to operate for temperatures up to 350°c. These special switches have nominal switching distance of 40 mm and are supplied with a 5 metre long silicon cable. They come in 2-wire ac versions, suitable for 220 v and 3- and 4-wire dc versions, suitable for 10-55 v dc. All these switches are suitable for operation near furnaces, kilns and similar machines having high temperature, where conventional switches cannot function.
