The Box Series Wormgear Units Reducers with 25 up to 90 sizes are supplied with long-life synthetic oil and they do not require any maintenance. The Wormgear Units Reducers is equipped with a full set of filler, level and breather plugs, permitting all mounting positions and facilitating the management of the stock. The housing shape has been studied to optimize the water draining during washing. From type 63 and up, 2 taper roller bearings are mounted on the worm shaft, improving the mechanical resistance to the axial loads given by the worm wheel. In order to increase silence, efficiency and duration, the worm shaft is made in case hardened steel and ground machined, while the worm wheel is in shell cast bronze. Before being assembled, the worm wheel is submitted to a running-in working period to improve the surface finishing and hardness. Mating surfaces are machined for a perfect planarity.
