Product Profile of Coir Briquettes/Coir Pith/Coco Peat

National coir, since 1997, offers various types of coir products. Coir briquettes are among those. Coco peat is the `coir fiber pith` or `coir dust` produced as a bi-product during the extraction of coir fiber from husk. Coco peat is a multi-purpose soil conditioner and surface mulch/rooting medium. It is consistent and uniform in texture specially prepared for potting mixes and soil conditioning, seed raising substrates and for golf green construction. It can be used in farms, greenhouses horticulture, hydro seed spray, landscape and as a substitute for potting soil. Coco peat as a soil conditioner and growing medium is excellent for growth of tomatoes, geraniums, orchids, cactus, roses, lily, mushroom, etc.
