Product Profile of Corrosive Silastic

Silastic 1080 is essentially recommended for corrosion sensitive materials where acid - curing types of sealants cannot be tolerated or where curing odors may be objectionable. Silastic 1080 is used for :

1. sealing of lock seams, welds and fasteners in metal fabrication.
2. sealing dissimilar metals and corrosion sensitive surfaces like chrome, copper and steel.
3. bonding and sealing appliance parts.
4. as formed-in-place gasket it replaces conventional cork, paper, and rubber gaskets on bear boxes, differential housing pumps and compressors.
5. oven doors in glass-to-metal applications.
6. caulking joints in ductwork.
7. cement surfaces and metal pipes.
8. attaching signs and sign-letters to metals, masonry and concrete surfaces.
