Steel-smith manufactures swing clamps with clamping capacities ranging from 0.2 to16 kn. It is most complete, comprehensively featured and compact swing lamp. The unique single cylinder design powers both the swing and force cycles that eliminates the bulkier, two-cylinder concept, which requires one cylinder for the swing motion and another cylinder for the force cycles. It offers more force in less space with fewer parts. Swing clamp also provide an absolute inline clamping action without rocker arm motion in the force stroke. During the swing stroke the piston rotates by 90°, followed by the straight clamping stroke because of the internal cam. Due to the swing action, loading and unloading of the job is very easy. The work piece area is free from the strap in the unclamped position. Arm pivots in a left or right hand direction into work holding area and applies downward clamping force depending upon cylindrical model. All capacities offered are standard in block version, profile body, threaded body or lower flange versions.
