Steel-Smith offers horizontal action clamps [H-series] that are low height. Minimum overhead clearance is required by this low profile series, which allows free movement of operating tools in drilling, tapping, milling, etc. Clamps of these types hold the workpiece with a downward clamping action. Handles and clamping arms move in the opposite direction where the clamps are operated. The clamps are manufactured with holding capacity up to 500 kgs. Clamping arms exhibit a minimum of 80 degrees opening angle giving full clearance for loading/unloading of workpiece. Clamping arms can also be solid bar, U-shaped or fixed hole to suit individual requirements. All the clamps feature comfortable PVC grips for the comfort of the operator. The horizontal action clamps are available in 11 different models with all the models available off-the-shelf.
