Special purpose machines [system design and manufacturing], offers a fully automatic torodial core winding machine. This is for the first time that such a machine has been successfully designed in india. The machine is supplied with, power, unwinder and winder in a pair, fully automatic and controlled by a plc. The machine automatically winds and ejects torrodial cores from a strip width of 20 mm to 80 mm thickness of 0.05 mm to 0.35 mm and forms core diameters from 30 to 200 mm od. Feeding strip, tig welding after one turn, winding desired size of outside diameter, cutting the strip after desired length, winding remaining strip after cutting, tig welding end of strip, ejecting completed core and placing the same in a desired tray, is all done automatically. Supplying strip as per the demand from winding head is also automatic. The machine has been provided with an electronic touch pad for quick settings of different parameters.
