Engineered wood flooring are available in planks and strips and are manufactured from hardwood using a cross-directional, laminated, three-layered construction, with a top layer of premium hardwood which is 3.6mm thick. This can be re-sanded and re-lacquered up to five times. These constructions counter the natural tendency of wood to expand and contract with seasonal changes in temperature and humidity, making engineered products dimensionally stable. This product has a choice of lacquer and oil finish and does not need any wax or polish throughout its life and comes with a zero maintenance cost.
