Eurowood lumber pvt. Ltd. Offers silver oak. The colour of the silver oak varies from pink to reddish-brown. Gradually the colour becomes fade. The large ray creates a silver-grain design on surfaces of the wood. Sometimes the gum lines are present on the surfaces. It has medium strength in all fields. The steam bending capacity of the wood is excellent. The drying process of the wood occurs slowly with little wrap and big cracks. During the seasoning some necessary steps should be followed carefully to shun degradation. After the seasoning the movement in service is average. The wood functions with both hand and machine tools without problem. Sometimes the break ups of large ray cell walls, particularly at the time of planning or molding can cause slight difficulties. The staining, gluing and nailing of the wood is also very good. The durability of the wood is excellent and it is resistant to preservative treatment. It is used for cabinets and paneling, shop fitting and fancy goods.
