Pentax introduces Pentax Optio-s, The Optio S is equipped with a 3.2 Mega pixel CCD capable of producing high-resolution images right up to 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera boasts of an impressive 3x optical zoom, enabling you to get close to the subject. The integrated 1.6-inch color TFT LCD monitor gives the camera a classy look and provides the much needed preview functionality. The Optio S comes with 11 MB of inbuilt memory, while there also is a provision for adding a SD/MMC memory card to boost the capacity.

The camera has a metal body, except for the thin battery lid, which is made of plastic. Its sleek, smooth styling is free from any notable protrusions except for the lens, which telescopes outward about an inch when powered on. The camera also has textured body panels that help provide some traction for the fingers, and an indented thumb rest on the back panel.
