J perrot enterprises provides turret press centers with "eletek" technology - electrical ram. With this innovative technological solution the ram of the punch press centre is activated by the "eletek" system trough a ball screw and a full digital siemens electric motor, energy saving type, in place of a hydraulic system. The machine ram is therefore a fully controlled axis with the characteristics and flexibility of an electrical axis, which has great precision, full control and programmability. The power that the "eletek" system can supply is considerable and allows using the machine not only on reduced thickness but on thick sheets as well. The advantages of the "eletek" technology are ecological and economical. In fact, the removal of the hydraulic unit eliminates all problems related to the periodical waster of a large quantity of polluting material [oil] and the extremely low power requirement, which is of about 3 kw/h at full requirement of installed power.
