Vaishali machine tools has launched its range of heavy-duty lathe machines. These machines are specifically designed to achieve excellent results. The machine is manufactured from graded cast-iron hardened and ground with diagonal webs to withstand torsional strains. It has a lathe bed deep in section and strongly braced with cross ribs with a gap bed. The machines have a head stock of cone pulley type. The spindle is made of en-8 steel of high tensile strength threaded nose, running in plain parallel lead bronze bearing to obtain b spindle speed [4 higher speeds and 4 lower speeds by applying back gearing]the lathe machine also has a saddle mounted on inverted `v` and flat ways of the bed and hence the carriage has a long bearing on the bed. This carriage has a cross slide and compound rest with square tool post and operating screws are also provided. A dial indicator is provided to facilitate the engagement of the lead screw for thread cutting. The lathe machines have a sturdy apron and double walled construction which is designed for independent drive motion for feeds and screw cutting with interlocking.
