Cast iron non-rising spindle-type sluice valves manufactured by ventil engineers are designed in accordance with is:14846:2000 and are used for different types of purposes. These sluice valves are mainly are used for water work purposes. They are isi marked and available in two-pressure designation pn 1.0 and pn 1.6. The valves have turbidity up to 5000 ppm and temperature up to 80 c with permissible velocity of flor being 5 m/sec. The body of the valves is designed to provide minimum pressure drop and withstand torsion forces under normal operating conditions and stresses caused by external piping strength. Wedges are solid strong and equally tapered with deep slots to get good guide and to avoid chatter during operation. Spindles are made of 13 per cent cr steel. They are liberally dimensioned and a thrust load effectively. Stuffing tightness and smooth operation of maximum pressure. Face rings are manufactured to close tolerance and force fitted on the recess of body wedge by means of fixture to import uniform forces. Captop & handwheels are sturdy and specially designed for smooth and easy operation.
