Product Profile of Ribbon Blender With U-shaped Horizontal Trough

Mikrons manufactures ribbon blender with u-shaped horizontal trough. Ribbon blender comprises of a u-shaped horizontal trough which is designed double helical ribbon agitator rotating within. Nauta mixers are widely used for mixing dry materials, paste, cream and lotions. The principle of blending is based on the differential travel speeds of product particles in the conical section of the vessel. The material from the bottom section of vessel is lifted by the screw and spread over the upper sections. The outer ribbon displaces the material from the ends to the center while the inner ribbon moves the material from the center to the ends. This counter-current action results in homogenous blending. The ribbons rotate at approximately 70 - 100 meters per minute and move the material both radially and laterally to ensure thorough blends in short cycle times.
