Powertech automation solutions provides a dg saver module. This dg saver module is designed to make proper co-ordination between power plant battery and the diesel generator [dg], so that the dg set does not start when the battery bank is able to give backup if it is charged up to sufficient voltage level. Following are some of the technical features odf this dg saver which include: the below sequence will be repeated if eb power does not resume even after batteries are charged completely or normal room temperature is attained. It governs the working of dg by monitoring four parameters: mains supply, room temperature, battery voltage of power plant and dg running time. This intelligent controller checks the status of dg in case of mains supply failure, and continuously monitors these parameters as set by user. It starts the dg for testing up to a preset time set by user [1 to 9 minutes - optional] and extends the dg healthy alarm and runs the site on power plant battery mode and continuously monitors the battery voltage as well as room temperature. If any of the above two parameters cross their set level, it starts the dg and runs the site on dg power as set by user [1.00 to 9.59 hours]. It keeps the site on dg power till [a] preset time set by user; [b] mains power supply restored. It triggers off the dg when the room temperature falls to low room temperature.
