Deep-bed or Pre-coat Candle Filter works intermittently using filter elements arranged vertically in a pressure vessel. Deep-bed or Pre-coat Candle Filter is used for clarifying liquids with low solids content. The filter cake builds on the outside of the filter candles, the filtrate being discharged from the inside of the candle through immersed and register pipes. The filter cake can be dried after filtration. A blast of compressed air finally lifts and discharges the cake of this filter. The unit has a modular design which is easy to transport and to assemble on site.
