Belt Filter for Sedimenting Media is a continuously operating horizontal vacuum filters, which are mostly pneumatically driven. A circulating belt, moving in cycles, is the filter medium. The suspension is mostly fed continuously onto the belt of this filter; the filtrate is sucked away from below. The filter cake forms on top of the belt and undergoes further treatment in the form of washing, reconditioning, steaming, and extraction, suction drying or pressing.
