J j hydraulics has launched metal gaskets which are made from pure metal sheets in specified dimensions and thickness. The metal used is mainly stainless steel, copper, aluminium, etc. Metal jacketed gaskets are made by making a jacket [covering] of metal and filling the jacket with filler material. The metals used are mainly copper, aluminium, lead, soft steel or stainless steel. The filler material used is mainly asbestos. Metal jacketed gaskets find their use in boilers, heat exchangers, autoclaves, etc. There are three types of metal jacketed gaskets-single, double and overlapping.
