Ipa flowmatics has launched on line flow totaliser which is used to measure the material transferred from one process to another process. The flow totaliser calculates the cumulative weight of the material passing through the system. Another application for oil industry is to measure accurately the amount of oil transferred from a storage tank to a tanker lorry which can be used with most of the free flowing materials and also with most of the liquids. Flowmatics on line flow totaliser consists of a storage hopper, a weighing hopper, a microprocessor based controller and necessary pneumatically operated gates, valves, regulators, etc. The weighing hopper fills the material from the storage hopper till the set point is achieved and once the set weight is reached, the filling valve is closed and its weight taken and added to the old cumulative weight. Then the discharge valve is opened to discharge the material. On zero weight condition the discharge gate is closed and the filling gate is opened to repeat the cycle.
