The king pins are manufactured out of high percentage nickel/ chrome alloy steels. They are then heat treated, to achieve optimum case depth and hardness for longer life. Ground to very close tolerances. Hard chromium plating is done to obtain the desired finish and strength. Non-ferrous are manufactured from bronze alloy. The bimetal bushes are manufactured for a longer life. The washers/ spacers and other components are made to the required precision.
