Armatic engineering manufactures custom-built material for handling equipments as per the requirements of customers, site conditions, etc. Slab tongs can be of simplex or duplex type, mechanically operated, provided with automatic locking device. The tongs are used for lifting of slabs with friction force. The simplex tongs have two point holding, to lift slabs vertically. Duplex tongs have four point holding, to lift slabs horizontally. They can be designed to operate electrically. Cold slabs, or hot slabs of 1000-1200ºc temperatures also can be lifted safely by using these tongs. Operations using these tongs will be fast, smooth, and safe with no additional manpower except a crane operator.
