This separator is made of several dimple trays, which are set in a reciprocating motion during operation. The trays are inclined in both longitudinal and latitudinal directions. The latitudinal inclination is stationary while longitudinal inclination can be adjusted. The effect of separation is due to the fact that trays provide a predetermined friction. The difference in gravity and rough grain surface enables the separation. Smoother the grain surface and heavier the gravity, it will sink to the lower part of the tray while rough surface paddy will go upward.
It requires less power and space compared to the compartment type separator installation. The weight of machine is very less. It is capable of separating paddy and husked rice regardless the shape and variety.
