A direct view of the medium and the actual flow are provided by the variable area flow meter and monitor type dsv. The measuring tube is made out of robust borosilicate glass. Due to the patented technique for guiding the float, using a cylindrical flow tube with conical slots around the periphery, the usual drawbacks of this measuring process are avoided.
A large range of variants makes it possible to choose a suitable unit for a particular application. There is a choice of 9 measuring ranges from 0.25 ... 1.25 l/min up to 10 ... 130 l/min. According to requirements the purely optical display of this reliable and competitive system can be completed with electrical switching pulses.
Brass and stainless steel housings can be chosen. In addition there are suitable materials for the floats. These are made of either pp, nickel plated brass, pvdf or stainless steel. The limiting positions of the floats, which are fitted with permanent magnets, are registered by reed switches from outside in a contact free manner.
The compact units with a protection class of ip 65 are fitted vertically, with the direction of flow from bottom to top. Once set correctly a high repeating accuracy is achieved.
