The power line transducers convert various electrical power line parameters viz. Voltage, current, frequency, power factor, active power, reactive power, apparent power into load independent dc current or voltage output. These are used in various electrical, thermal, chemical & other power plants to monitor processed data either locally or remotely, using various devices such as indicating meters, data loggers, recorders, scada systems. The following are its salient features:

7. 3 phase 2 element & 3 phase 3 element watt or var transducers type with ac auxiliary supply and bipolar output are available.
8. self - powered voltage & current transducers operate for input variation from 10% to 120% of the range.
9. self - powered frequency, power and power factor transducers operate on ±10% of rated voltage.
10. individual output, in dual output transducers, is not isolated from each other.
11. summation transducers maximum inputs - 5 nos.;
12. no isolation between any two inputs & between input & output.
13. output of power factor transducers is proportional to phase angle.
