The instrument has both rz and ra parameters with millimeter and inch units and hence a very handy tool for hydraulic and automobile component manufacturers and granite/marble industry. It can also be used on cylindrical surfaces of minimum diameter 40 mm. The instrument is with diamond tracer tip and piezoelectric pickup stylus. The tracing speed is about 1 mm/sec with 6 mm tracing length.
